Three officially confirmed dates is more than we can say for most ships calling at Grenada this season, and we would rather tell you which three they are than present all eight as though they were equally certain. Itineraries still change. Your booking confirmation and the onboard daily programme outrank this page every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ship time is your responsibility.<\/strong> Published arrival and departure times change. Your cruise line and onboard app are the only authority for your all-aboard time. Check them on the morning of the call, and build your plan backwards from that time — not from the times on this page.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

What ten hours ashore actually buys you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An 08:00 arrival and an 18:00 departure sounds like a full day, and it nearly is. Subtract disembarkation at one end, the all-aboard buffer at the other, and the walk between the ship and wherever you are going, and a realistic working figure is around eight hours of usable time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is enough to do one thing properly and a second thing loosely. It is not enough to do three things well, and the most common mistake Britannia passengers make in Grenada is treating the beach and the town as a matched pair to be ticked off in sequence. Three plans that fit the call<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Option 1: the town day on foot<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Walk in, follow the Carenage, browse the market area, eat somewhere on the water. The Grenada Ports Authority puts the Carenage around ten minutes from the terminal on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advantage on a Britannia day is that this plan needs no transport at all. You are never in a queue behind three thousand other people, and you can extend it or cut it short at will. It suits unsettled weather, mixed walking paces, and anyone who would rather not commit to a fixed return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 2: Grand Anse, properly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to the beach and stay there. Decide before you leave how you are getting back and what time you are leaving, because the return leg is what catches people out – not the outbound one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One concrete tip: walk a few minutes further along the sand than the first accessible stretch. Grand Anse is long and the crowd is not spread evenly across it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 3: a pre-booked ride<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Riding removes queueing from the day entirely. Once the handover is done you are not waiting for transport, a table or anyone else’s timetable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It suits confident adult road riders after a proper fit check and route briefing, and it is genuinely not for everyone.
