Short answer: We do not rent scooters or mopeds. We rent cargo e-bikes, and on Grenada’s roads that is usually the better machine anyway. If you came here looking to hire something small and motorised, this page explains what we have instead and lets you judge for yourself rather than quietly redirecting you.
We used to list scooters. We took that decision back and now run e-bikes only. It is more honest to say so on a page like this than to leave you clicking around wondering.
Which one did you actually mean?
The word splits three ways, and all three land here.
You meant a moped
A sit-down motor scooter, the kind you see parked outside a hotel in Europe. It is fast, it carries two, and it needs fuel. You are picturing something that flattens the hills without effort.
That instinct is right about the hills. Grenada is genuinely steep, and anything without a motor is hard work here. But a cargo e-bike has a motor too, and it flattens the same hills without the fuel stop, the fumes or the paperwork that comes with a motor vehicle.
You meant a stand-up electric scooter
The kick-scooter shape with a deck and a handlebar column. Popular in flat European cities with smooth asphalt and painted lanes.
Grenada has none of those three things. The roads are narrow, they wind, the surface varies a lot, and there are no bike lanes anywhere. Small wheels and a standing posture are the wrong combination for that. This is the reading where we would push back hardest, whoever you rent from.
You meant “something small that moves”
Most people, honestly. You want to cover the south-coast belt without a car, without waiting on a bus, and without a taxi fare every time you move. The machine matters less than the outcome.
That is the reading we can answer properly.
What Grenada actually asks of a vehicle
Four things shape this, and they are the same whatever you ride.
The hills are real. Grenada is mountainous and the south coast is not the flat part people imagine. Any honest answer here involves a motor of some kind. This is the single biggest reason an unpowered bicycle disappoints visitors.
The roads are narrow and winding, with no cycle lanes. You share the road with traffic. That makes these bikes a good fit for confident adults who are comfortable in traffic, and a poor fit for someone who has not ridden in years.
Traffic drives on the left. If you have only ever driven or cycled on the right, your instincts at junctions will be wrong for the first half hour. Take the first stretch slowly.
Parking is a non-problem on two wheels. In St. George’s that is worth more than it sounds.
What we rent
Cargo e-bikes, rated up to 45 miles per charge with a top speed of 20 mph. Treat the range as a ceiling rather than a route plan, because climbing uses considerably more battery than flat riding. For a day around St. George’s and Grand Anse it is comfortably more than enough.
Every rental includes a free helmet, a free bike lock and a free protective bike cover, at no extra cost. A refundable deposit per bike is taken at checkout and returned when the bike comes back.

The group rate applies to the whole booking. Adding a sixth rider moves everyone onto the lower rate rather than just the new person, so six riders pay $180 rather than $210. Longer hires are discounted automatically and the rate that applies to you is shown before you pay.
Where this leaves you
If you specifically want a petrol scooter, we are not your supplier and we would rather tell you that in a sentence than waste your afternoon. Other operators on the island rent them.
